Islamic Curriculum - Grade 10 | Student Guide

The Steps to Perfection 10th grade curriculum strives to build upon the development of a strong Islamic foundation, which began from the kindergarten book. The structures of usūl ad-dīn and furūʿ ad-dīn have been planted in the hearts of the students from the previous years.

The 10th grade curriculum focuses on critical analysis, thought-provoking questioning, and practical application of pre-established areas of the curriculum. In ʿaqāʾid, the characteristics of Imām ʿAlī (ʿa) are studied and applied to the concept for Ghadīr Khumm, and Imāmah while continuing the focus of Attributes of Allah (swt), and the Noble Qurʾān. In fiqh, additional lessons such as jihād and enjoining good and forbidding evil are introduced, whereas the requirements of prayer are continued in a more reflective approach. 

History continues examining the lives of companions, Prophets (ʿa), and Imāms (ʿa) with a special Islamic innovations lesson that provides an Islamic view to scientists new and old. In the akhlāq unit, a genuine Muslim character is continued to be built through modern problems and solutions, and bringing to light the importance of integrity, sincerity, and the true concept of tawbāh.
